Gregg began his career with Star Homes in 1984 as a laborer under the tutelage of Delbert Delagrange, a founder of Star Homes in 1960. Gregg was required to learn and perform all the tasks needed to build a solid, long lasting home. After several years of on the job training he assumed the role of President. He is involved each day in the process of managing a successful construction company and is guiding it into the future. He is a past Board Member of the Home Builders Association and a highly respected leader of the tri-state construction industry.
While no longer involved in the daily management of Star Homes, Shawn continues to develop ideas with her husband Gregg to enhance the Star Homes’ brand. Together, they thoughtfully consider what are the best decisions for Star Homes now and into the future. She has great intuitive skills and a talent for analyzing people and situations. Shawn likes going on walks and being with family and friends.
Justin’s knowledge and experience as Home Designer-Project Manager has been building since he started working for Star Homes in 1990. He works directly with the New Home Coordinators to prepare custom floor plans and elevations for prospective homeowners to review. Upon approval, he prepares the construction drawings and initiates the start of construction.
Gary has guided Star Homes since 1993 through the extraordinary advancements of information technology while developing and maintaining an accurate construction cost system. Gary spends his “free time” volunteering with national disaster relief teams, such as the recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina, the Alabama tornados of 2011, and working with church related ministries.
Brenda has been with Star Homes since 1998. As Accounts Manager she manages all financial transactions, maintains accounting records, prepares interim financial reports, and oversees the year end closing. She has been married for over 25 years and loves watching her grandchildren. She enjoys being outside when the weather is nice, working in the yard, gardening, taking walks, and spending time with family.
Amy joined the Star Homes' team in 2013. Using her Bachelor's degree from Indiana Tech and her past experiences in managing staff, Amy keeps the office running smoothly. She is responsible for addressing homeowners' concerns and processing accounting documents. While Amy enjoys her family, being outside, and learning new things, she still finds time to volunteer with a variety of organizations in the community.
Since joining our team in 2012, Bethany is responsible for keeping Star Homes' web presence current, producing presentation ready images, and assisting with 3D modeling drawings. Bethany graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts degree focusing in design. She has fun spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
After graduating Ball State's Architecture program, George gained 18 years of architectural experience with previous home builders and architecture firms. Since 2014 he has been working with Star Homes' New Home Coordinators to prepare custom floor plans for prospective homeowners to review. He has a good understanding and knowledge of home construction, 3D design, details, and aesthetics.
Susan owns First Impressions and studied Interior Design at Purdue University, Fort Wayne. Since 1996 she has been providing design guidance for Star Homes’ homeowners developing each selection from ideas to actual products as they apply to the specifications of their new home. “My career is a dream made possible. I have learned so much and look forward to exploring additional exciting projects alongside new homeowners and the Star Homes staff.”
Sarah spent her first 16 years at Star Homes as our Office Manager. Sarah wished to spend more time assisting homeowners navigate the building process and advance the marketing presence of Star Homes. So in 2013 she transitioned into the Director of Marketing and Sales. Sarah continues to draw upon her past experience in helping clients build their next home. She enjoys spending time with her family especially its newest addition, her first granddaughter.
Since joining the Star Homes' team in 2011, Rosie has concentrated on assisting homeowners through the building process. She enjoys filling the vital role of a New Home Coordinator. Rosie stays organized and on task to complete the smallest details while building the perfect place to call home. She enjoys walking, gardening, boating, and being with family and friends.
Jerry Hakes, REALTOR ® at North Eastern Group Realty, joined the Star Homes' team in 2013. Jerry has over 36 years of experience as a real estate broker. Jerry's new construction knowledge is invaluable when guiding homeowners through the new construction process. He is excited about the opportunity being associated with Star Homes offers him to help homeowners build the perfect place to call home.
For over forty years Tim has been the “Field General” for Star Homes. Working through the Construction Foremen, he schedules material deliveries and manages the craftsmen responsible for all aspects of building a custom home. Tim continues to build homes while meeting and exceeding homeowners’ expectations by using the skills he learned from Delbert Delagrange.
Talented in all phases of construction, Robb and his crew specialize in the final stages of Star Homes’ new builds and remodels since 2000. Working with customers and contractors to perfect the final details to Star Homes' high standards is the part of the job that he enjoys the most. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, lake life, golfing, and Ohio State football.
Since 2004, Noah—a world level craftsman, has been on site working with the sub contractors and homeowners to complete projects on time and to the homeowners’ expectations. He installs cabinets, exterior siding and completes the finishing details.
